YOUNG CRITICS COMPETITION

Would you like to write and tell us what you thought about
The Snow Queen?

The Guardian newspaper’s theatre critic, Lyn Gardner, has given you some things to think about when writing a review of a play.

  • Give a short idea of what the play is about.
  • Make sure you offer your opinion - is the acting good? Is the staging good?
  • How did it make you feel?
  • Don't give away any big surprises
  • Describe what the set design is like, what the lighting is like and whether there is any good music used in the production

But remember it is only your opinion, it is not a case of being right or wrong.

All you need to do is:

A) Write your review (no more than 250 words)

B) Send your review to:

Snow Queen Review
Theatre and Community Department
Liverpool Everyman Playhouse
13 Hope Street
Liverpool
L1 9BH

Or email your review to: community@everymanplayhouse.com

C) Include your name, address, age, where you saw the production, a contact telephone number.

The deadline is Wednesday 18th April.

There are three age categories:

  • 7 – 9 yrs
  • 10 – 12 yrs
  • 13 - 16 yrs

Lyn Gardner will judge the competition, and one winner from each age category will receive £100 in theatre tokens, a framed photograph from the show, a Snow Queen notebook, an Italian poster of the show, and a programme signed by the cast.

The judge's decision is final. Winners will be contacted by Tuesday, 1st May 2007. Sorry we cannot return any entries sent to us by post.
